about

After decades of making music with other people, this was my first solo outing. I intentionally kept it simple, just me and my guitar - except for the final track. My friend Chip Drusch painted the cover and I love the image.

John Lowell won Song of the Year from the Intl. Western Music Association for his song Angus MacKenzie. He's also the 2021 Grand Prize winner of the Hazel Dickens songwriting contest, and will appear at the Crossroads Festival in the UK as well as touring and teaching internationally. John Lowell lives in Montana with his wife Joanne.
